"OK bag, but not good enough" 2010-02-24
By Curtis M. Kularski (Bessemer City, NC USA)
The size of the bag is good, but the interior of the bag is disappointing. The upper compartment is pretty much useless and the lower compartment (for the camera and lenses) does not have enough space. The adjustable walls are not adjustable enough, as there are very few arrangements possible with the way the velcro contacts are aligned in the bag. It is not possible to carry a Nikkor AF-S 70-300mm any way except on the camera itself, there are no other positions for it to fit in the bag. This bag would be better if more space were allocated to the camera and lenses and less to the top compartment with no specified purpose. Also, there is only one slip-lock connection, and it is on the right strap of the bag, no where useful. The side pockets are useless and could be better if they were slip-lock connections instead. If I could strap my 70-300 to the side of the bag using the LensCase 3 using slip lock I would be happy with this bag, but because that is missing I unfortunately had to return the bag. It would also be nice if there were a place on the bottom to attach a tripod, but that wasn't a deal breaker, the absence of a way to carry an essential lens was.

"Not compatible with baterry grip and not adjustible" 2010-02-22
By A. Melek (istanbul, tr Turkey)
I buy this item after i look to reviews. But when i receive it i try to put my items from canon 200DG to this bag i cant adjust compartments because its not possible only i can adjust the middle part but i cant the left and right parts becasue the stickers stick only one place. Also i cant put my eos 40d with battery grip. The quality of bag and zippers and other features are ok but the camera compartment is not adjustible. first see or try this bag if you use batery grip and large diameter lenses.

 "Really good!" 2010-02-18
By Jrley13 (Texas, USA)
The bag was really good, although the padding inside was too stiff and made it hard to put my lenses in, this is just a draw back but the good part about it, is that you know your lenses are not being thrown around while your moving.

Good bag, will recommend it to anyone

 "Lowepro Fastpack 250" 2010-02-16
By D. Morasci (CA, USA)
I purchased this camera bag for my husband because he needed one with more room for lenses. However, when the bag arrived I was disappointed to find that almost the entire top front portion is for storage other than lenses. A great company of products as I love the other 2 camera bags we have from them. I simply believed there was more room than there actually was.

 "Fastpack 250 Camera-Laptop bag" 2010-02-15
By Dale J. Benoit (Madisonville, La.)
Great bag for carrying both camera and laptop along with accessories. My Canon 50D fits well with the 28-200mm lens as well as my MacBook 13". Plenty of storage for misc. items and simple enough to use. Eliminates the need for 2 bags containing camera and computer equipment.

"Good camera case for night out..." 2009-10-19
By Frankie C (NY)
I have a nikon S60 and this case is perfect for using when going out with friends because of its small size. Basically it is a barebones small case that can fit in a pocket, yet still provide significant padding to my extremely fragile and moody camera. When I go on vacation, I'll also bring a larger case because this case only provides one compartment and therefore, it gets tricky when bringing extra memory cards or batteries. Often I will still bring this case along during excursions on vacation because of its size. Overall its a great non-obtrusive extemely portable case. EDIT*** I didn't realize this case says large... just wanted to clarify that imo, its not large compared to most other camera cases (esp. those with multiple pockets, zippers, straps).*****

"Durable, solid, big on the outside & small on the inside" 2009-10-19
By THATCH (OHIO)
Holds the camera very snug. I use the belt loop to hold a second battery. It is tight enough that the battery will not slip out. I find that it's so snug that you couldn't even fit a spare SD card down in this case, but the outside of the case is a bit bulky as to add a little protection during a fall without any real padding. Recommended buy.

 "Awesome value" 2009-09-28
By T. Lemelin (California)
I recently picked up an S710 and didn't want to take it anywhere without having a case... so after looking around I decided on this one.

The first time I placed my S710 in the case it took a bit of force, the case was so snug. After leaving the camera in the case for a week or so, and removing and replacing it several times it fits a bit more easily but it's still tight enough that even with the flap open the camera won't accidentally slide out.

The only thing that would've made this case better is a clip of any sort, as opposed to a loop. But I would've happily paid twice what I did for this, so definitely pick it up!

 "MiniTripod" 2010-01-21
By Mrs. Susan T. Shaw Burroughs (Vestal, NY United States)
I always find it so helpful to read all the reviews before I purchase anything and this case was no different. Someone wrote "it is the type of item that you don't know you need till you buy it" Absolutely true, once I attached it to the camera it was clear that I had been missing this, so much so, that the camera should have supplied one!

I like to video my bowling team and it was very hard to hold the camera with all the bowling gloves that I wear, so being able to now hold the camera by the tripod, my gloved hand only has to move the zoom and press the start button.

So just order this because it should have been included in the price of your Camcorder in the first place!

 "neat little utility" 2010-01-13
By PenMangler (alabama, US of A)
this is a handy little utility that you can shove into a pocket or a glove box and have access to a steady and sturdy tripod. I bought it to use for the Flip, but it fits my digital cameras too. One camera is an old Cannon 4.1 mg. It's heavy as far as cameras go now. But it sits on the tripod and is steady as can be. The tripods legs move in any direction so you can mount it to uneven terrain - rocks, etc. - and make it level for your shots. The legs stay where you put them. But the best part of it is its price and the versatility it gives you.

I recommend it.

"Great mini tripod for on-the-go photography" 2009-11-08
By dymutaos (Lansing, MI)
I love taking photos everywhere I go. With emphasis on 'go'. I bought a great camera that is still relatively pocket-sized because I want to take great pictures without having to lug something around my neck. This little tripod has been very useful.

First, it is small, and it fits in my pocket without feeling bulky (unlike my camera). Of course, there are several other mini tripods that are small. But this one is by far my favorite.

I love the flexibility of the three legs. It is not loose at all, so it doesn't slouch under the weight of my camera (which, along with the body, has 4 AA batteries, so it's fairly heavy). They can even twist around a branch and hold the camera up. Other mini tripods have hard legs that can extend an inch, but I find those relatively useless. If you need the camera to go down an inch or two, you can bend the legs so they aren't straight.

The knobs on the end are rubber and give good grip on uneven and rough surfaces. They are held on by being slightly stretched around the end of the legs, though, which means they can come off somewhat easily if they catch on something (not sure if this is a feature or not).

This mini tripod is also very well priced. I bought it solely to get free shipping on another $20 or so item, thinking I might use it once or twice. But I have used it on many occasions.

Pros: Small; flexible but not loose; Good grip on most surfaces

Cons: Rubber ends are not held on as tightly as they should be

 "Excellent starter flash!" 2009-11-19
By Jeffrey Orr (Redwood City, CA)
I have a Nikon D60, and its little built-in flash can't quite keep up with the photography I do (shooting in dark hotel lobbies, homes, et cetera). What a difference this SB-600 flash makes!

The AF grid that the flash projects (IR, so it's not visible) really helps my camera focus in lower light conditions. It still has trouble with some things, like mascot costume faces (where is the face? confused!), but it's still an improvement over not using the SB-600.

I may want to get the SB-800 at some point, but I'm happy for now!

"Whoa... sure makes a difference than the camera flash!" 2009-11-15
By Varad Arasanipaalai (MD)
I bought this lens few days ago and have been using it on my D90 with Tamron 18-270 and Nikon 18-200 lens. The bounce flash off ceiling is so much better and natural looking than using the flash on the camera! I'm impressed. I bought it with Amazon's excellent return policy to give it a test run. I'm definitely keeping it. I also like that we can use AA batteries if needed in an emergency. I'm running them off eneloops right now. I took some great portraits of my daughter bouncing the flash off the ceiling and I'm impressed! I never knew before a friend of mine recommended this to go with my new D90 that an external flash will do so much difference. Sometimes it is true that you get what you pay for and in this case very well worth it. :-)

 "Awesome for $215!" 2009-11-10
By YakButter (Orange, Ca)
I had 2 SB800s. One was stolen and I didn't want to buy the SB900, since it is huge and expensive and I mainly only used one flash, so the other would be back-up. I figured after reading some reviews to get this little guy instead.

Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised on how efficient and light it is. The power output is better than I thought and it works just as well as the SB800 in almost every respect. I shot a wedding with it after purchase and the photos came out great!

Extremely happy with this purchase!

 "Great flash gun" 2009-11-02
By Mr. Richard Buttle (Ireland)
I bought this to go with my Nikon D40 to learn more with flash photography. I was considering the sb-400 first but I though about the difference in price and what the actual difference in result would be. I am glad I spend the money on this over the smaller one. Being able to control the light power in the steps it does gives good control over.It gives great light for indoor party photos and out doors for off camera flash. It is not too heavy on a D40. If you have a 55-200mm vr lens, it is balanced nice.

The NIKON D40 flash will not trigger this!! You need an optical slave or a remote unit or a ttl cable for remote triggering.

It is easy to use straight out of the box. Put in your batteries, turn it on and attach to the camera and you are ready to go. Then you can read the manual and find out about the custom settings that you can use. So far, it seems to be ok on batteries. I managed to take about 400 photos while messing around with it and there was no sign of a low battery light.

I left it for a few days though and came back, turned it on and it was making funny noises. I recharged the batteries and it was back to normal, so it was a power issue.

I bought a set of remote triggers also to use with this for off camera flash and it is a great set up for the price. If you are thinking about the sb-800, I would consider saving the money and getting one of these instead, unless you need the extras.

I cant say anything bad about it yet, but then again I am not that experienced. Some gels and a white card would be nice if they came with it though.
