Pros: good battery life, small size, color
Cons: grainy pictures (regardless of setting, lighting, etc.) on screen, computer, and when printed out; video had lines through it; very slow shutter speed; complicated menus
I was in the market for a small, simple point and shoot. I found this camera on sale and purchased it without reading any reviews and boy that was a mistake. I didn't expect a camera that took professional quality pictures, but I definitely expected the pictures to look better than my old camera (a 4.0 megapixel Polaroid). Literally I only took a handful of decent pictures in the year I owned this camera. Lucky for me, my dog used the camera as a chew toy and I was able to replace it with a Polaroid t1234, which is cheaper, takes better pictures, has more megapixels, and overall is easier to use.

I was simply looking for a "put it in my purse" camera when I bought this. I own an SLR, and I certainly didn't expect this camera to come across with that type of quality. I did expect Nikon to come up with something better than this though! I adjusted ISO, adjusted megapix's, played around with it. I am willing to bet that it takes some decent full light pictures. I was shooting in the evening, just basic kids playing around the house types of shots. They were awful. The viewfinder first will show you a very yellow/orange picture and then when you shoot it, well, it's a crapshoot what you're going to get! The pictures were more often than not very fuzzy.
The size and weight were just what I was looking for. Deck of cards. I bought the plum color and that was really cute.
IMO, not Nikon quality at all. I returned it and got a Kodak. Superior pictures...surprised me.

Ease of use, love the small compact style. Regardless of the other reviews, it takes wonderful photos. The other day someone blinked, it recognizes that! Wow, for the price and just to carry in your handbag! Love the quality of nikon. I would recommend for my friends.

I received this camera for Christmas after my kids broke the Canon Powershot I've had for years. While the camera is relatively easy to use, if you're familiar with digital cameras, I found the picture quality poor. I gave the camera the benefit of the doubt after seeing blurry photos on the display screen. Once I loaded the photos onto the computer for viewing I knew I had to return it. Most of my Christmas holiday photos were useless due to the poor quality, grainy or just plain blurry. The camera's "anti-shake" feature was on the entire time. The face recognition option never finds the face in the photo. I know Nikon makes great cameras, but I wonder why this one is so crappy?
I returned it today.
Goin back to Canon most likely.
